Client’s question: How can we help the Planning Team be more effective when working with difficult stakeholders

What we did:

  • We designed a people based workshop
  • We thoughtfully introduced the attendees to new techniques such as personas, crazy 8’s ideation exercises and storyboarding to:
    • Help them understand and empathise their stakeholders on a deeper level
    • Unblock some of the blockers they had been facing when it came to getting things done
    • Empower them to take ownership of the initiatives prioritised in the session on an ongoing basis

Outcome:

  • This workshop improved feelings of connection within the team who attended
  • The team came up with 56 new ideas for how to work with difficult stakeholders and 5 key areas in which they needed support in unblocking to ensure success, all of these learnings were written up for them to use in the workshop write up presentation
